I should be asking the RSPB ... well I did and got the automated "Thank you for your inquiry ..." reply but no answer to the question.
So I had mostly decided to give-up as giving you credit card to a company that doesn't reply to membership questions is just daft. But maybe I should persist a bit so, the online membership page says £5/month but when you subscribe what is the commitment? e.g. my mobile contract is priced and charged at £<x>/month but I'm committed for 24 months (and committed to their mid-contract price increases). But no info from RSPB if it's a rolling one month (so you can cancel at any tim)e, or if it's 12 months so you are committed for £5/month for a year or ...
Maybe I'm unusual but I do read T&Cs and do question things that impact but unspecified (easier to clarify before than resolve after).
I appreciate it's no responsibility of members here and no RSPB answer is "disappointing" and does make me wonder about the organisation.

Sorry I can't help, Ian but I had a wander around the RSPB site. I'm sure we pay our membership annually but I can't find any infomation on the site about a one off payment for a year.
My guess is the £5/month just rolls over month on month so I think you could stop paying at any time, but that is just a guess.
