I thought our local vixen might have a litter hidden away, and turns out they are in next-door neighbour's garden (fortunately very overgrown, so I'm hoping they won't be disturbed.)
I went over to see if I could get a photo, and luckily one came out from under the shed while I sat waiting in the tall grass... they are so lovely when they're this age- little bundles of fluff. (I'm guessing about 6-8 weeks old?)

After a few nights of glimpses last night the camera caught it. If it is the same one it was last seen late last year. Really pleased there is one wandering around. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPLpE1TYd7A&feature=youtu.beWe thought it was eating a small animal but discovered this morning it was a small bundle of wool (my wife spins and dyes wool and this bit obviously 'escaped') Dave As its visit was around 10:30pm I might sit out and watch for it tonight.

Ah, what a healthy-looking hedgehog!
But... they eat wool?? I didn't know that.

Looking at the wool this morning I don't think it ate any. I think the texture, and size of the wool (the bundle is about the size of mouse) made the hedgehog 'think' it was a dead animal.
Hoping it keeps the slugs away from the runner beans we planted a few days ago.

Happened to look out just in time to see the vixen, sitting prettily on the path just before dusk this evening.

Yesterday evening two adult Grey Squirrels with three young. Taking advantage of the ground feeder much to the annoyance of the resident mallards.

I startled a grey squirrel early yesterday morning - first I've seen since we moved here. It seemed to be very interested in the nest box which has been home to a family of Great Tits again this year. Not seen a Great Tit since so hope they haven't been scared off.

The cubs are really growing! Spotted this one outside just before dark tonight... all bright-eyed and very wary of everything, but still wanting to explore.
Going to be a good-sized fox, if those feet are anything to go by.

A couple of great shots there, Harold. Is the feeder on a pole or suspended from above?

Hi Dave,
The feeder is suspended from above. Great fun watching the Woodies trying to get on the spill tray as the feeder swings about a lot on windy days.
Harold.
