There was a thread on here a good few years ago - probably 5/6 about plastic waste. One post mentioned it seems impossible to get rid of plastic plant pots, other than them going to landfill.
I was in a Dobbies(not to be confused with the other plant retailer, Dobies) garden centre a few days ago and they have a plastic pot/tray/container recycling scheme - www.dobbies.com/pot-recycling
Seems like a really good idea.

I've often washed them, bagged them up and put them on freecycle... they've been taken every time. Probably people with allotments, but we really shouldn't have to do it. Garden centres of all places should be more concerned about the environment! What good does it do if I plant for pollinators, and then poison the earth their flowers are growing out of?? I would love to grow from seeds, (I've tried it) but we simply don't have the space, unfortunately.
