In the absence of a marine/coastal board I'll try this here (please re-direct if appropriate). Plenty of compass jellyfish were arriving off Aberdovey yesterday. 3 of 15 that I looked at had a tiny (10mm) sand coloured crab with them. Two were riding on top of the bell and one nestled at the base of the tentacles underneath where there was also a tiny amphipod, presumably Hyperia medusarum. Does anyone have any info on this crab? Is it a common thing? Sorry no photos.

I have seen lots of compass jellyfish but not seen your observation. Could the crabs on top of the bell have climbed there after the jellyfish had beached, though this would not expalin the one within the tentacles?
