Came across this plant when coastal walking NE Aberdeenshire, and was very surprised to see it again a week later Glen Lonan NW Scotland (opposite sides of the country totally different environment). I have never seen it before, but am assuming it is a garden escapee. Both were very large shrub size. IMG_4582 by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr

I've seen them growing wild in a few places in Scotlan, they are really, really tasty, sweeter than normal Raspberries. I've heard them called Honey Raspberries and it's a very good description.

Goodness! If the fruit is still there in Glen Lonan at the week-end I will taste some. Might even see if I can buy a plant, it did look lovely in fruit.
