After a heavy but very brief shower a few days ago we had some really good rain yesterday. It was raining when I got up at 5am and lasted(with a bit of thunder and lightning) until about midday.

The garden has had a good soaking and the water butts are full too. There is no(or very little) rain forecast for the next week or so but what we had yesterday should last a while.
