We were in east London visiting with friends, and when I went into the back garden a very small bird flew up from the ground into the foliage growing up around the fence. I took a quick photo, thinking it was a fledged wren- they had nested there back in the spring. It wasn't until I enlarged the photo on the computer that I realised it wasn't a wren... it looks like a young starling, but it was far too small. It's hard to tell in this photo, but it was not as big as a sparrow... I wasn't even sure I caught it- just pointed and clicked. Bird for ID July 2022 by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr

Looks like a Wren to me. You can see its small with its size in relation to the ivy leaves.
