We had a short walk yesterday and unfortunately I dropped my camera which rolled a few metres over the stony, gritty and very boggy ground. When I got it home it looked like this -
Fortunately after some careful cleaning all seems well, phew.

That is lucky... I hope it's okay!
I am so paranoid about doing this exact same thing I won't even walk through the kitchen with my camera unless the strap is around my neck... I KNOW I'd drop it on the hard tiled floor. I have nearly fallen face-first into the pond a few times trying to get a photo, too.
I did fall off a bench in a hide once, (I was sitting astride it, and slid back trying to get a better shot... of a lapwing, if memory serves.
The bench wasn't as long as I thought it was- I hit the floor, camera hit the bench and the battery cover went flying. It was never quite the same after that and I had to make do with Snowlynx's retired Sony for a good few years.

Oh wow lucky escape then hopefully I tend to put a UV filter on my lens to help avoid scratching them, I'm looking for a newer camera but can't make my mind up what to go for maybe something smaller a little more pocket sized ian
