Hi there! I've had a capuchin beetle hatch out in my pet reptile"s terrarium. As its native I've let it go in my garden ( have a pine out there). I've just been told that they are quite rare so was just wondering, if any more emerge should I take them somewhere or inform some body/institution? Thanks.

Welcome to WABI,
Report it to your County Invertebrate recorder, including the one you released. The Capuchin Beetle (Bostrichus capucinus) is rare and there hasn't been any UK records for many years. Your County Recorder would be very interested.
To find out who the recorder is contact your local Naturalist Society or the Wildlife Trust for your county.
Harold.
