I've been trying to identify these which are growing in a patch of grass.
Using photos online they look a little like some type of waxcap, but only a little.
Can anyone ID them please?
The one in the second photo is about 4cm in diameter.
Apologies for no shots of the underside, even I can't get down that low.

I've seen them about many times don't know what they are try looking at milk caps or knights and funnels. Break or cut one see it it bleeds white milky fluid. You'd think with all the information out there it wouldn't be to difficult to id the more common ones would you. I've a folder on my computer that's 39Gb just for fungi most unnamed ian

Thanks Ian.
I have just checked and they do exude a milky fluid, so a milk cap but I don't know which species.
From the Wikipedia description(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lactarius_quietus), the oak milk cap (Lactarius quietus) fits the bill except that it grows exclusively under oak tress and the nearest oak tree to these ones is about half a mile away.
However, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
