An underwing shot would have been very useful as it's easier for ID, but I'm pretty sure it's a male Holly Blue. The only other similar blue you would be likely to see at Stanmore would be Common Blue, which I saw several of yesterday along an Essex estuary. Most of the other blues are habitat specialists, with chalk/limestone areas the most productive.

Confirmation of Holly Blue- very distinctive & nothing like that of Common Blue.
