I found these on the ground this morning on my way to the postbox at the bottom of our road... there were more, but these were the ones in the best shape. There was also a cluster of what I think were breast feathers. Not the usual sort of thing I'd expect to find on a street in North London- even being on the fringes like we are. I can't begin to guess how a pheasant came to be here, because I've never seen or heard any in the woods near us. Found Feathers Feb 26 2021 by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr

It may have been driven there during the shooting season 1 Oct - 1 Feb and decided to hang around for a time. Or perhaps later falling prey to something or even been hit by a car, or even wounded from shotgun pellets and died later.
