That explains it. That's why, having had only one jab so far, I can hardly hear Mr Gates when he talks to me. Both me and the missus are wandering around the house muttering, "What you say Bill? Speak up."
Now I understand things will be much better after the second jab and we are assimilated properly.

What is concerning is that some people believe this rubbish.
One of the best comments I heard about it was, "If you are worried Bill Gates is going to be able to track your movement via a chip he has introduced into COVID19 vaccines, don't. He will just use your smart phone like every one else."

... What is concerning is that some people believe this rubbish.
One of the best comments I heard about it was, "If you are worried Bill Gates is going to be able to track your movement via a chip he has introduced into COVID19 vaccines, don't. He will just use your smart phone like every one else." (Somewhat "off-topic") I find the conspiracy theories quite interesting not so much from the "people believing such rubbish" (which is a good point) but also what makes them want to believe such rubbish. I do wonder if publicised Government surveilling general population (where the Gov. have been caught out) has made the idea that organisations outside our control do really want to track us and control our lives. That so much of what we do is monitored (internet, CCTV, face recognition, etc.) makes some assume that more efforts will be made through indirect surreptitious means. To me this reflects a mistrust in Government and "organisations". Another surprising aspect is "logic". When your bulky smartphone (incl battery) struggles to get coverage outside built-up areas and the battery lasts a day at max (without GPS running), how can such a device be shrunk down to a size that fits through a syringe needle with a battery lasting for months and coverage far exceeding that of a mobile phone. I'd expect any company inventing such a device would be commercialising it through expensive products in shops not wasting it knowing where we are 24/7. And with the amazing technology supposed in the Bill Gates vaccine tracker, how come alien technology has not entered the conspiracy theory storyline ... oh dear ... have I started something ... Ian

On a more serious note, I suppose when we see what authoritarian governments like North Korea do to their people, we start to wonder exactly how far our own politicians will go if needs be.
I saw a disturbing interview once with a defector who had escaped that country, and she said children are taught in school that Kim Jong Un has the ability to read their minds, (as could his father, apparently.) When you see that level of absolute control going on in the world, you get an understanding of just how far ruthless rulers will go to maintain their power base. Makes people a wee bit paranoid.

I love a good conspiracy theory after all we do need a bit of a laugh these days as for being micro chipped I'm not totally against it. Just think micro chipped at birth no mistaken identity no need for passports, bank cards, driving licence all your medical history linked, wonderful stuff. It's just a shame that you couldn't trust anybody not to misuse all that info, maybe one day Talking of tracking yesterday dinner time the oven decided to pop it's clogs the daughter texted one of her friends on some platform or other and hasn't stopped seeing popups for new cookers since ian

I'm sure there is quite a bit any of our governments do that we don't get told about. I'm more concerned by what we are told but then find out it is at best incorrect and at worst a lie.
As conspiracy theories rely on belief, logic goes out the window. However, the lack of critical thinking in some is worrying - eg the acceptance of or re-posting of almost anything on Facebook, without asking, "What is the source for that information?
I agree some conspiracy theories are entertaining, such as the one from the bloke in Gateshead who alleges Gateshead Council are putting 5G technology into street lamps to kill people.

Had my second vaccination last Tuesday. Very similar to the first, very quick, virtually no feeling of the needle and no after effects. I don't know if this is the same for the national picture but the lady who did my second injection said there was about a 50/50 split between those who had a reaction to the first jab and those who had no reaction at all.

Had my second a couple of weeks ago. Like you no problem with needle going in or ensuing side effects. Much better than some serious dental work I had to have done yesterday!

We had ours Wednesday 2nd dose arm a little more tender than the first one and Wednesday night a real bout of the chills and sweats last night just a tad sweaty but nothing to be bothered about. Not sure about the wife I'll have to ask she's not the complaining type I have to push even when she's not well to find out what's wrong. ian

Snap, I saw the dentist yesterday for a full dental clean £68 half an hour of water torture and a weapon that made more noise than a road drill, sheer hell.
