Mrs Tringa had her first vaccination three weeks ago and I had mine today. I was a little surprised to get the 'call' yesterday as I had not expected it for a few weeks.
Although the venue was very busy it all went very smoothly.

Sorry, I posted this in the wrong place. I intended it to go in Chit Chat.

That's alright, Dave... it's sort of media-ish, I suppose! How are you and Mrs. Tringa doing?

We are fine thanks, no after effects at all and I was in the centre for less than 10 minutes.
Injections don't bother me but I usually feel a needle, but the needles they are using for the COVID19 vaccine must be very sharp as there was almost no sensation at all.
I did find one aspect of the procedure amusing, in retrospect.
As I went in I was given a numbered ticket, told everyone would be called out when we were to have the vaccination and directed to a seat.
Someone in the middle of the hall was shouting out numbers. The first number I heard called was "14" and when I looked at my ticket saw it said "590"!!
Then I realised two numbers were being called out. The first one was the ticket number, the second(which was the one I heard) was the number of the cubicle to go to to get the jab!

My wife and I are under different health centres (it’s a long story) hence she received a telephone call inviting her to attend her surgery that very day, whereas I received a letter inviting me to phone 919 (it’s a call centre) which had crashed each time I phoned. However, I got so fed up in the end I phoned my surgery and spoke to a very nice lady on reception to which she replied oh you don’t want to bother with that nonsense, meaning 919 I ‘ll book you in straight away to which I received the jab the following day; ( a very bad headache and stiffness in the arm) lasted two days.
As for the vaccines themselves I’m still not entirely happy, time will tell I expect.

We had ours Monday morning and so far so good, only very slight tenderness in our arms and nothing else that I've noticed Looking forward to the seconded on 12 May. But not as much as the end of March when I can get out and about proper again ian

Snowlynx and I had our first one yesterday- he's fine but I feel like I've been hit by a bus... terrible back-ache and headaches. I've been in bed all day, and only got up because I had to finish a Tesco delivery order. Think I'll go back to bed now...

Thanks, Ian and Dave! I'm pretty much back to normal now. I just hope the second jab goes easier!

Thanks, Ian and Dave! I'm pretty much back to normal now. I just hope the second jab goes easier! 2nd injection is apparently a minor update fixing bugs in the 1st - so probably easier Ian
