Quite possibly, but Dactylorhiza species are notorious for hybridization so I'd like to see a more close up photo, but appreciate Nelly hasn't got one.

It doesn't look quite right colour or shape-wise for Northern Marsh, but I've seen a few Dactylorhiza hybrids with that sort of colour and shape. I agree with aeshna5, without a close up Dactylorhiza sp is the best we can do. Nelly, you'll have to learn to abseil and try again next year.

Nelly, you'll have to learn to abseil and try again next year. :DLol! I really do need to get a camera with a better zoom Nelly, I use a Nikon P510 bridge-camera and the zoom is simply preposterous! Also it's able to take extreme macros at about 1cm!
