I picked up this shrub at a boot sale some years ago and it's settled in nicely - well, more than nicely - very happily, it seems! It's now about 8' tall and spreads perhaps 6' or so but I 'd love to know more about it. I was told that it would have very fragrant flowers but although it's a profusion of colour in summer it's hardly scented at all - it's such a shame. Nevertheless the bees love it so we're keeping it but I don't know what it is! I thought it was a member of the jasminoides family but if so, why doesn't it smell? Hopefully the photos will help - they're: The shrub in July. The shrub today after flowering. A closer-up view of the flowers. Details of the branches.

Better late than never - your plant is one of the Jasmin family, at a guess I'd say Jasminum humile sometimes called Italian Jasmin although it originates from northern Asia - there are named cultivars though I've no idea which yours maybe.
