Good morning everybody, what weight should a hedgehog be at this time of year to make it safely through the hibernation?
Cheers, Tony.

According to Tiggywinkles they should be at least 600 grams before entering hibernation in early December, maybe 500g in early November. Much lighter than this & they are unlikely to survive hibernation.

Aside: I'm a bit worried about "mine". This year is the 1st we've had hedgehogs for many yeas and I've been feeding them. But sunset earlier and neighbour now leave outside lights on (often all night but always till 00:00 and it's bright) and hedgehogs have given-up coming to feeding station. Nowhere else practical to really move it to.
