Saw these yesterday on the hillside in Stanmore Country Park. Most of the berries were the usual, but these were different- and the bushes producing them were all together. The druplets, (as I've learned they are called) were of varying sizes, and they were impossible to pick- they just fell apart and had very little taste. The more 'normal' shaped berries grew on different bushes, (although sometimes side-by-side) and were pickable. Which we did, (and they tasted lovely!) I was curious if anyone might know what might cause this to happen? Stanmore Blackberries July2020 by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr
