Hello, everyone. I'm afraid I've had some sad news this morning. I received a message from Helen's daughter Dawn, letting me know that her mum passed away on June 2nd. She said that Helen had become ill and went into hospital back in January, but was able to stay at home with a palliative care package. Dawn moved home to be with her, and with the help of a mobility scooter she was still able to get about the garden- she carried on posting comments and photos up until mid-May. I asked Dawn if there was any charity in particular that Helen supported, and she said her mum was passionate about the Scottish Wildlife Trust. If anyone would like to make a donation in her memory, here is the link- scottishwildlifetrust.org.ukShe was such an important part of Wabi- I'm sure I'm not the only one who is going to miss seeing her name in the forums.

Very sorry to hear this news. From some of her posts it was clear she had some health problems but always seemed very stoical about them. My condolences to her family and friends.
She will be missed by WABI.

Such a shame. She was one of the more regular posters here & had wondered why she hadn't posted regularly. She will be missed. Thanks for letting us know.

I've only just read this post; I've been giving most of my attention, for some months, to my book index.
I'm absolutely devasted by this news.
Helen was such a lovely person to be on forums with, and to exchange the occasional message with.
R.I.P. Helen.
