It's actually a butterfly! It's a female Large Skipper.
In all fairness skippers are rather moth like & as closely related to some moth families as to the other butterflies, so have seen numerous ID requests for a moth which are skippers.

I never would have taken that for a butterfly!
I'm not having many butterfly sightings so far this year- I'm hoping once our buddleia blooms we might get some, but all I've seen in our garden have been a few cabbage whites.
