Did anyone else catch this in the news?
It seems that someone in Bishops Avenue (of course- where else?) has it as a pet and it escaped from its garden. It's spotted like a wildcat, but is much larger than your average moggy.
"The police confirmed that an armed unit was dispatched because of fears of potential risk to life. They were stood down when it was established that the cat was a domestic pet." I've put a link to the Standard article below which has a good photo.
I would SO love to have snapped that, and then casually post it as my Mammal of the Day...
