This must have been picked up on a trip to the beach can't remember when or why it just reappeared on the garden table. It's around the size of a tennis ball and the nearest picture I've found to it says cretaceous 80 million years ago ian Sea urchin by ian robinson, on Flickr

It's kinda flinty with quartz veins so solid but not granite heavy if that makes sense ian
