This fungi was in a hollow in a tree, about half way up. Looking at it to me it looks like Turkey tails, which obviously it is not, i also think there is more than one type of fungi. Have yo any ideas? Tree with hollow growing fungi by Helen Skelton, on Flickr

I managed to get an ID, so for those of you interested it is Bleeding Oak Crust _Stereum gausapatum. It was in a very old Oak tree on the Ross of Mull.
