Hi please could someone help me identify this plant in my garden? Ive had it for about 10 years (bought from a stately home) and never known what it was. Here is a photo... ibb.co/LYSjhCnThanks so much for any help. Lisa

I don't recognise it, but any chance of a close-up of the flowers, which might make it easier to pinpoint the family?

Thanks- the close-up has enabled me to identify it. The flowers looked very much like a Senecio (ragwort) species + a search brought me to Senecio tanguticus (Chinese Ragowrt). The scientific name has now been changed to Sinacalia tangutica. It also used to be classified as a Ligularia.
It's certainly a splendid looking plant that apparently is good for insects. Wouldn't mind one of those in my garden- very architectural foliage.

Ah thank you so much. You are the only person who has been able to identify it. Fantastic! :-)
