The first sighting of this year's young. Not much peace for the mother from now on for a while.

I just showed this to someone.... love the bit at the end where they're all clambering all over each other to get to the top of the stump.
Are they still around, or do the youngsters disperse at this time of year?

Visitors to the house told us there were three pine martens most nights for about a week in late August.
One marten visited last night but the video from the trail camera wasn't good enough to identify it. I'll keep recording and watching.
Seeing a family together is a delight. It seems in pine marten society if there is marten in front then you just climb over(or under) it.
The most interesting visitors last night were these two.

I have a big problem with downloading and showing clips now. I was delight when daughter had 4 CCTV cameras set up so that I could view them from indoors, zoom in for close ups, or move the cameras to view up or down and left to right, to see my wild life which is great but! Wheras with my trail cameras I just removed the disc and on my computer downloaded the videos, thus being able to post them, I cannot now do so. The programme that was put on my computer involves downloadling what I want from the CCTVs Unit saving what I want to a USB first, then downloading to my computer, where it has to be converted. I can view these but cannot post them. I could scream! Now when I open any of my previously saved videos (there are masses of them) I get a message saying I have to convert them. Likewise I now get the message if i use my trail camera disc. I am not a happy bunny! The company that installed the CCTVs is looking into how to solve the problem.

Sorry to hear of the problem Helen.
However, somewhere online there will be something that will convert your files, or something you can download that will allow you to do it yourself.
You need to know what format your CCTV records in and then Google, "How do I convert videos files in xxx format to .avi or .mpeg"
There will be a solution out there.
