This is probably of more interest to a few, rather than many, WABI members, (though pine martens are more widespread now than some years ago) but if you have an interest in these delightful creatures I recommend this book -
Lots of information and written in an easy to read and sometimes amusing style.
Dave
PS Some on here might recognise a name from the old WAB site and elsewhere on the Web.

The book arrived. Going to take me a while to read it, but what I have found fascinating, so far is the history of the name, it's place in history and just how many European countries and place have Pine Martens showing on their national emblems. I love Jonny Birks amusing dialogue for what is a very technical scientific book. Makes it for me easy to read.

It is always a bit difficult recommending a book as your own thoughts can colour a more objective view, so I am glad you are finding it interesting, and as you say the relaxed style makes it easy to read while it still delivers some good information.
Dave
Good to see 'The Woodman' from the old WAB site gets a some mentions.
