Hi again, More plants from N Norfolk in September: 451, 452 Black Nightshade? The upside of road sweeping budget cuts? 455, 456, 460 Beaked Hawk's-beard? I wouldn't normally try to ID a hawkweed type, there being so many variations, but this solitary specimen stood out, literally, at over a metre high. 651, 654 Better examples of Viper's bugloss? 653 Sea Arrowgrass? These were from the Yorkshire Dales in early October: 765 A very small specimen of Crosswort? 772, 773 Lady's Bedstraw? www.mediafire.com/folder/35bg652jp5ge7/Batch4Thanks, Ian

I would agree with your IDs but wonder if the Sea Arrowgrass is in fact Sea Plantain?

Hi a,
Thanks. I've had a look at Sea Plantain and the main distinguishing feature, at distance, seems to be the amount of bare stalk before the flowers start, being greater on the Plantain. The leaves probably give it away, though.
Thanks again,
Ian
