These were seen today in Stanmore Country Park- growing out of a tree stump.
They were the only ones we saw- it has been rather dry over the past week or so.

Hi RB, To help you with the identification you need to give measurements, also pick one and place it next to the others upside down to show the gills, what colour were the gills? did it have a ring on the Stipe (stalk)? Duncan

Had another look at the second photo and I think I can see a dark coloured Stipe which suggests the winter fungi Velvet Shank, check out on line. Duncan
