There was a swathe of these growing along a dip in the land, very boggy, think there might have been a small stream - I sunk to the knee trying to get near enough for photo, so this is a zoom shot, taken while wobbling on dodgy ground. I think the stalk, leaves and buds can be seen extreme left of photo. Is it possible to ID? IMG_3838 by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr

It's Bogbean Nelly, Menyanthes trifoliata. It likes wet ground and can often be seen in shallower areas of lochans.
