Found this growing near the bottom of an oak tree yesterday- it had a bit of slug damage, but was such a bright colour... it really stood out against the darker bark of the tree.

I'm not very good on fungi, but look like Beefsteak Fungus.

I think it is too, Beefsteak,sometimes called Oxtongue, ranges from pink throgh orange/red to purple brown, has blood like sap Duncan
