One of the fox cubs that visits our garden seems to have badly injured its right hind foot. It's hopping about taking care to not touch the paw to the ground, and the toes are curled under... the whole leg from the hock down appears to be floppy. It was still chasing frogs about though, and stopped for a drink out of the birdbath. It is still getting around ok up to a point.
I guess all I can do is observe and try to see if it gets any worse- looks like he could have broken something.

Hopefully not broken just damaged. One of the Pine Martens here hopped about holding it's leg up for weeks, then started using all fours again, nature can at time be pretty good at healing itself.

I've been watching, and saw him again tonight... still limping, but getting about. I hope you are right, and he recovers in time. He's very vulnerable as it is.
