Walk up through the wood back home this morning and the trees are looking a tad better for the rain although the sycamores dropped half their leaves a few weeks back, a sorry sight woodland floor covered in crispy dry green leaves and what few rowans there are in here are dried up berries and all. Non the less on the side of this oak for the second time in two years can't be good news for the tree, was a juicy growth of chicken of the woods. I like finding this it's so bright it seems to light the area up ian chicken of the woods by ian robinson, on Flickr

Great fungi photos- haven't seen any down our way yet. Rain is promised tonight, though- so hopefully some might appear soon.

Our lawn continues to sprout hundreds of tiny beige/brown mushrooms regardless of the weather at the moment.
