We have a small shed-cum-summerhouse in the back garden... it's my creative bolthole, and it's where I go to write, paint, draw- anything that keeps me relatively sane.
The problem is, during the summer months our neighbour two gardens over also has a 'shed'... built for her son to practice his music in, because he was driving her nuts doing it indoors. He doesn't blast it at deafening levels- just loudly enough to be an irritant. You know how it is if you have to listen to a noise that really grates, (it's some sort of heavy metal Ozzie Osborne-ish stuff.) Last summer I went weeks unable to use my summerhouse because of it.
I had the idea of getting a small portable CD or cassette player and play an ambient disc (waterfall sounds, or something similar- just to drown out his music... hah! just realised that's a pun.)

I don't want a walkman... headphones hurt my ears after a while, and besides I want to be able to hear garden noises I need to hear- like the jays telling me they're out of nuts, or a blackbird alarm calling when the sparrowhawk puts in an appearance.
Is there such a thing as a 'mini' cd player? (I don't especially need a huge battery-eating thing) because I've not found anything like what I have in mind on Amazon... their search engine is a law unto itself.
Before anyone suggests using my mobile phone- it's the dumbest dumb phone I could find, and music is not one of its features! It doesn't need to be a bells-and-whistles sort of player- it's only going to be for this one CD, over and over again.
Thanks for any suggestions or ideas!
