Having bemoaned the fact that I had seen no House Martins or Swallows here, I was delight to see yesterday a couple of House Martins popping in and out of a nest tucked up under the eaves, and could hear the young. I cannot think how I missed seeing them, but it has been a busy time for me so indoors mainly working. There are a couple of Swallows as well but I can't find where they have made their nest. The Blue Tits are back in their old nest on the veranda and busy feeding their young. The Jays are busy digging up the lawn, so obviously feeding young. Having seen the wag tails every day for a couple of months, I have now not seem them for a week - bit worried that the Sparrow Hawk (which is feeding its young) may have got them
