Spent a few hours walking around sherwood last week I try to get here 2 or 3 times a year in the different seasons it's only 25 miles away. Always surprising how many folks are about. No long horn cattle grazing and pretty quite on the bird front, only one of note was mistle thrush singing. Lots of trees through with endless character all seem to have the tops blown out, but plenty of younger ones following on ian by IAN ROBINSON, on Flickr by IAN ROBINSON, on Flickr

Never saw anything of note in the bird line last we went either; however the old trees are well worth a visit in their own right, incidentally Ian nice photos of the old trees, all full of character.
