We watched the first half of last night- really well done, beautiful program. The clips of goshawks flying in slow motion through trees and branches were simply stunning- it's worth watching just for that! but the rest of it is very good. Tells about her background, her childhood interest in birds of prey and falconry and how they helped her deal with the overwhelming grief she felt after the unexpected death of her father. This is a continuation on from the hawk Helen Macdonald trained in the book... it's called 'A New Chapter' and I can't wait to see the rest of it. A five-star program- highly recommended! www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09b68wy

Sorry I didn't like it. Maybe the shots of the hawk were ok, but could not take her commentary, so turned off. Probably good as a book though.
