Spalford warren is a nature reserve just inside Nottinghamshire but only 12 miles from home for me so I'm often there and yesterday was fair covered in mushrooms although a little quite on the bird front. Strangely I see very few rabbits there about, just don't see many. This was a scene repeated all over the reserve fly agaric by IAN ROBINSON, on Flickr and I'm not sure who's the star here, fungi or lichen by IAN ROBINSON, on Flickr by IAN ROBINSON, on Flickr orange birch bolete by IAN ROBINSON, on Flickr No idea here it may be the same furry fungi as posted before by IAN ROBINSON, on Flickr

All good shots there Ian but the Fly Agarics (never seen that many before)and the second and third ones are especially good.

Thanks both, there really were masses of Flt Argarics around and even that photo only shows a few that were under those birch trees, boletes the size of dinner plates and all manner of other fungi it was a good walk

Lovely fungi photos as always, Ian- and so many Fly Agarics! That must have been an impressive sighting- and all in near perfect condition, too.
