Noticed a little Himalayan balsam showing along the drain that runs through and into the park lake it's not a problem here yet unlike another park a couple of miles away it's allover there. Also less of a worry was this pretty little thing, there are plenty of houses nearby so I'll go with escapee. It was the only one I could see and I don't think any of the near leaves are anything to do with it, delicate and pretty though ian. by IAN ROBINSON, on Flickr

I would suggest its Colchicum autumnale in bud. The leaves appear in the spring.

I was thinking Autumn/winter crocus I see a few about here and there, this one just looked so nice tucked up under some conifers and all alone. I checked the proper name as suggested by aeshna5 'thanks' and found this video, made me smile I seem to have a strange fascination for poisonous things
