DOn't know why but I presumed Otters were fish, mollusc eaters. Not so. I am on Jura at the moment. In the bay are two Mute Swans, who had six cygnets. They now only have two. During the week the sea otter family, also living in the bay eaten the others. They have also had sea gulls, taken while resting on the sea. They have also had crabs. Well well, what do you know!
Having a really interesting time, lots of seal and sea birds, wild flowers - wow! Weather dricht. Again something I have not seen before a dead seal. Cannot download any photos and by the time I get home I will have hundreds.

It's not unusual for Otters to take birds. When I've seen them at Minsmere I've usually spotted them by observing the behaviour of the water birds.
Sounds like you're having a good time there. They're not Sea Otters which only occur on the Pacific coast of the US. They are just ordinary Otters that feed in the sea but need fresh water to clean off the salt.

They seemed so much bigger than the ones seen inland by rivers, so as these seemed to spend most of their time in the sea I just presumed the 'sea' bit. I keep learning.
