Hi. Came across these the other day around a local nature reserve. They are in moss growing on what I think is an old birch log and seem very localized there were about a dozen on the log but non in moss on other logs or stumps anywhere else nearby that I could see. The flowers are 1/4 to 3/8 wide and leaves tiny. Though the first picture makes them look like little Venus flytraps the flowers are on separate stems as seen in the second photo. I wondered if they were flowers from the moss itself but having separate leaves I think they must be flowers in there own right. Maybe sundew of some sort. There seems to be slight dew drops on the hairs but I didn't touch so can't say if it was sticky and the vegetation around was dewy anyway. Will get back as soon as I can for better pictures to help ID. Ian

Not flowers at all but the seed leaves (cotyledons) of Herb Robert- you can see the first true leaves in the lower photo: The red coloration is due to some physiological stress.
