What stunning scenery, Helen!
I love gorse, I associate it with the first time I ever went to Cornwall one spring and it was growing everywhere.
I think the weather this year has not been kind to the bluebells here down south either, Alan. Not quite enough sun, but not enough rain either- and cold as well.
We went last week to visit the bluebell woods near us, and they were wilting early... the ones in our garden perked up after I poured a bucket of water on them, I'll try and get a photo of them later.

Thank you so much for the information Rowanberry; I planted the bulbs at 3 inches deep I wonder if it would have been a better result if I had made it 4 inches, I am also not sure what this flower is which came from the very same pack of bluebell bulbs, arrow shaft not included! Alan Attachments:

Looks like either Allium subhirsutum or A. neapolitanum.
