I found this tiny spotted beetle beneath the lid of one of the bird feeders yesterday, and the golden-green beetle today when I was tidying some of the flower pots in preparation for planting. I've since learned that the green beetle is a Rose Chafer, (Cetonia aurata) but the other one I'm not sure of. The Rose Chafer was a little battered and abit the worse for wear, but still a lovely iridescent colour- it didn't appreciate having it's photo taken and flew away the first chance it got (probably in search of some roses), and it was only after I enlarged the spotted beetle photo that I saw the spider also lurking beneath the garden wire! Your spotty beetle is a Cream-spotted Ladybird.

I hadn't seen that before. Certainly not ALL the UK ladybirds there (there's about 46 species but some are really tiny so not so obviously ladybirds) + unfortunately one error there- the copulating pair said to be 10-spots are also Cream-spotted.
