Son number 3 is good- it is a Common or Black Knapweed (rayed form), Centaurea nigra. Knapweeds are popular with many pollinators including butterflies, moths, bees + hoverflies. Also there are a number of moth species for which it is a larval food plant. Definitely a worthy plant in a wildlife garden.
