I don't think I've ever seen this one before... a very striking plant, growing in the uncut areas around our local playing fields and near woodland, (close to the mugwort I posted as my flower of the day earlier.) If needed, I can go back and get some better photos of it, (these were taken with a phone camera.)

Thanks, Aeshna. I read up about it- interesting plant. It seems to have been used to make yellow dye for hundreds of years, and when mixed with woad made the Hunter's Green traditionally said to be worn by Robin Hood.
