I don't know if anyone else here makes their own suet blocks, but if you do I thought I'd pass on this idea. There is always a lot of powder in the bottom of suet pellet and mealworm containers, and I thought it was a shame to toss this out, (especially the ground-up mealworm bits) and so throughout the spring and summer I save all this in a container. Once the weather turns cold and I starting making suet blocks to put out, I add this into the mix... and hey presto, buggy fat blocks. Suet Block ingredients by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr
