Our field this afternoon was stuffed full of Burnet Moths, virtually all 5 Spot, but this mating pair could be 6 Spot - what does everyone else think? There is also an onlooker above and what looks like a Burnet Moth emerging below, and all on one stem! Shirl Actually looking at the wing edge they might be 5 Spots

More likely Narrow-bordered 5-spot which is more common. 5-spot seems to be restricted to chalk areas in the south.

Cheers, I guess all the 5 Spots might be Narrow - bordered here in Derbyshire, they do seem to be locally common
