Thank you both for your help. Some new ones for me.
My partner was visiting his mums house in Cornwall and I could not go so I encouraged him to set a trap and take some pictures. Now I can tell him him captured some "interesting moths". Last year I awakened his interest in butterflies - this year I am working on the moths!
Incidentally, there were some other good moths in the trap, including a couple of beautiful Privet Hawk Moths

I took him to Surrey Butterfly Conservation New Members day where useful talk on moths and the "techy" aspect of trapping appeals to him. Also I think he thinks it keeps me out of mischief!
He is not quite as interested in bees or hoverflies!

We used to walk a lot. His idea of a walk is to go at a cracking pace and to take in a few mountains. Mine was always to go a bit slower and look at things around me. (He sometimes says that going this slow "hurts his legs") As one gets older and less mobile it is great to have an "excuse" to take things more easily. And I point out it is of great benefit to the various recording schemes!
