Last ones for time being! The first was a wincy one in a wildflower meadow. The second - another pug! Thank you for any help.

Hi Liz The micro moth is Micropterix calthella a very common species if you look in buttercups in May and June, Micropterix is a very primitive group which unlike virtually all other moths have mouth parts. The Pug looks like it is partially melanic and therefore could be one of several species. Regards Kim

So many insects like buttercups! Since there has been a policy in parks and gardens to allow wild flower meadows a massive proportion of my insect shots on on the. I think I am going to do a special photo study!
