I've seen these before, but can't remember what it is...I've seen green ones before, I'm sure. The green ones you've seen are very likely the Hawthorn Shieldbug Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale, there's piles of them round here at the moment!Insect f

It's the Dock Bug, Coreus marginatus Agreed, I've found a couple of these today in our orchard. I'd thought that we were outside their normal range.
