Not much wildlifey based things going on here at the moment, weather is very poor day after day for Dragons and Butterflies. I've been busy making pots for a show in August. I only get to stop when I run out of flat surfaces to put things on, I've got wet clay things, bisqued clay things waiting to be glazed, glazed stuff waiting to be fired, and fired stuff that need their bottoms polishing. Here's a couple of new ones, just out of the kiln this morning. (Got a plant for ID too, new post soon).

Those are lovely, Ayjay... especially that red and black one.

Thank you Rowanberry, I quite like it too, but the red is not right yet, I wanted it a bit more orangey.
Chemistry at over 1200°C is tricky, a slower rate of cooling down can make big differences, but I'm trying to get all of my glazes to behave with the same firing schedule.

spring - hah - summer is late here, my garden is only now starting to grow! And what I can see is mainly what I've seen before so nothing new to report

I wonder where you live? Here in Perthshire the garden has been growing for a couple of weeks now!

Cardiff, but my garden is late even in a good year. This year there have been a lot of cold nights, so it's all been a bit stop start!
